Product Strategy Lead, Customer Enablement

The Digital Product Strategy Lead will partner with business owners on the vision and strategy for Customer Enablement, aligning on desired outcomes, key metrics, execution, and value capture. This role will own the product strategy for core customer enablement capabilities including navigation, design system, notification framework, account management, roles and permissions, and the overall client-farm-field model that underpins how customers organize and act on their operations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience shaping shared product foundations that improve usability, consistency, trust, and scalability across a broad digital ecosystem. This role will lead the space from vision through execution, orchestrate the roadmap for this value stream, and foster collaboration across a talented agile product development team composed of designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Partner with business owners on the vision for customer enablement across Bayer's digital solutions, ensuring the core experience unlocks value for growers, advisors and partners.

• Lead product strategy for foundational experience capabilities including FieldView information architecture, design system, notification framework, account management, roles and permissions, and the client-farm-field and more.

• Develop a product strategy aligned to business priorities, customer needs that also supports the other delivery unit roadmaps and ensure these shared capabilities create value across multiple product experiences and key markets.

• Orchestrate roadmap delivery for a mission team (~30-45) supporting high-impact, cross-cutting capabilities used broadly across the digital product portfolio.

• Partner effectively with the delivery unit engineering lead, ux designers, product managers, engineers, architecture to execute on the roadmap.

• Manage stakeholder engagement, elevate senior stakeholder support, gather input, and align on strategic direction.

• Coach Product Managers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of improvements to core customer experiences, shared capabilities.

• Lead performance monitoring by defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of the customer enablement strategy, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve adoption, usability, and business impact.

• Ensure metric trees clearly demonstrate how customer enablement investments contribute to customer outcomes, agronomic outcomes, and business results.

• Secure talent flow by identifying the individuals and technical competencies needed to execute the roadmap, assessing levels, and directing remediation efforts as needed.

• Partner with the User Insights Coach and regional CX group to apply user research methods with the purpose of increasing confidence in ideas to be developed.

• Champion product development excellence by ensuring best-in-class standards for product management, data stewardship, and customer co-creation practices.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Management, Business, Human-Centered Design, Computer Science, Data Science, or another product development-related field.

• 12+ years of product management, product strategy, UX, or related digital roles.

• Proven record of successfully shaping and scaling digital product experiences that contribute positively to business and customer outcomes.

• Proven record of leading teams and influencing across cross-functional organizations.

• Experience owning strategy for shared experience layers and/or core customer data models (for example navigation, design systems, identity, account models, spatial hierarchies, notifications, or permissions).

• Strong understanding of customer experience design, product operating models, and delivery in complex digital environments.

Preferred:

• Experience leading product strategy for horizontal capabilities and shared data models that serve multiple product teams.

• Experience with identity and access management, customer account hierarchies, or geospatial/field boundary data in software products.

• Experience operating in global organizations with matrixed stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agriculture, digital farming, or adjacent software-intensive industries.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $177k-260k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant).?
