Our Advocacy team is central to this mission—empowering our users through engaging content, meaningful interactions, and genuine advocacy.We're looking for a Designer Advocate to partner closely with our Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. You'll bring deep design expertise, strong product intuition, and a genuine love for the design community into our go-to-market strategies. You'll also champion our users' voices internally, ensuring their perspectives shape our product evolution.This is a full time role based at our San Francisco Hub. Must be comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time to connect with our community in person.What you’ll do at Figma:Empower users at scale: Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Experience teams to help customers unlock the full potential of Figma across real product workflowsCreate compelling content: Develop written, visual, and video resources that reflect how modern teams actually design and build, from early exploration to production-ready systemsInspire community connections: Foster meaningful relationships within the Figma community, identify collaboration opportunities, and nurture user-driven initiativesSpeak and engage at events: Regularly present at industry meetups, conferences, and community events, sharing practical insights from real-world design workChampion user voices: Stay attuned to community feedback, sentiment, and emerging design trends—advocating internally to inform product decisions and improvementsWe'd love to hear from you if you have:Deep, hands-on expertise with Figma and demonstrated experience integrating it within real product teams and modern product development environments, collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional partnersDemonstrated ability to adapt to evolving workflows, including design systems, tokens, and AI-assisted design or prototypingActive participation in the design community, whether through events, online platforms, open-source contributions, or advocacy workExceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex workflows or systems clearly — and a track record of confidently engaging large audiences in public speaking settingsThorough understanding of modern product design workflows, with hands-on experience building, managing, or using design systemsWhile it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:An entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable taking ideas from early exploration to impactful, polished outcomesAt Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. Exempt employees are eligible for employer‑provided paid flexible PTO in addition to flexible paid sick leave. PTO is subject to manager approval. Additional benefits may include company recharge days, cell phone and home internet reimbursements, and a number of lifestyle spending accounts. Figma also offers sales incentive compensation for most sales roles and an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles.
