Rheumatology Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) We are seeking a dedicated Rheumatology Physician to join our Independent Practice Track, where you will own and operate your own clinical practice while receiving comprehensive non‑clinical operational support from MedCBO. About MedCBO MedCBO is a Colorado‑based healthcare business infrastructure company that empowers independent physician groups across the United States to launch, manage, and scale their practices. We provide a Business‑in‑a‑Box platform covering revenue cycle management, accounting, human resources, EHR support, payer contracting, compliance, supply‑chain logistics, and data intelligence. Job Overview As an independent rheumatology physician, you will govern all clinical operations and decision‑making within your practice. MedCBO will handle non‑clinical functions, allowing you to focus entirely on patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide clinical care within your rheumatology specialty scope. Develop and maintain professional relationships within the medical community. Collaborate with MedCBO on payer credentialing and ensure timely participation. Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation and coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and HR administration. Technology platform implementation and support (EHR, telehealth, workflow systems). Credentialing, enrollment, and facility privileging coordination. Supply‑chain and vendor coordination. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted, good‑standing license in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in rheumatology or a related specialty appropriate to the services offered. Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice ownership model. Preferred Qualifications Desire for practice ownership and community‑based care. Leadership or program development experience. Location Multiple U.S. markets are available, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed and subject to licensure requirements. Compensation Compensation is derived from the physician‑owned practice income; it is not a fixed salary and varies by specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions.
