Job Position: Forklift Operator


Location: Carrollton, TX 75006

Pay Rate: $20.00

Shift: Mon-Fri 6am - 2:30pm

Description: Stride Staffing has a client in the precision metals industry who is seeking a forklift operator with experience in the metals industry with the ability to moves, store, and distribute metal goods and cargo using forklifts and other machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience moving large sheets of metal and rods that could be 30-40 ft in length. This is a resume driven position, therefore only candidates that submit a resume with the qualifications and experience below will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect forklifts before use to ensure equipment is safe, properly maintained, and operational.
• Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished products while ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Transport metal coils and materials to production areas as required to support manufacturing operations.
• Move finished goods to staging or shipping areas for distribution.
• Verify materials and quantities during loading and unloading to ensure accuracy and prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are placed in designated locations.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or material discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all safety regulations, warehouse procedures, and company policies during operations.
• Communicate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely material movement and workflow efficiency.

Skills and qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Experience with metal sorting, moving, receiving and stocking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform basic math
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships
• Efficient individual with excellent time management skills
