Dental Clinical Director

In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), leads the dental clinical care delivery of the department, with a goal to combine comprehensive dentistry integrated within primary care centers, including a school-based or mobile oral health program via an integrated electronic health record platform. The Dental Clinical Director will have a demonstrated passion for excellence in full scope clinical dentistry, a general understanding of the business elements of operating a successful and diversified dental program, and the leadership skills to mentor and develop a diverse team of dentists, hygienists, and ancillary staff throughout Family Health Center. The DCD has an opportunity to participate in and influence dental policy and practice through state and national forums.

Duties and responsibilities include developing his/her own clinical practice within one of FHC sites, collaborating with the CMO in establishing and reaching targets for clinical capacity and utilization and ensuring financial success of the department, supporting the oral health/dentistry component of our Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home, with its focus on population health management and integration of all health care services, and more.
