The pay rate for this position is $23.47 per hour. What You'll Do

2nd Shift 2 pm to 10:30 pm

3rd Shift 10 pm to 6:30 am

$1 increase @90 days then another $1 increase after 9 months

Primary Purpose- The Operator ensures that the finished product is packed according to the item specifications. They confirm the correct bag and labels are prepared and used correctly. They monitor the sealing process and check for any bags not sealed properly. It is the Packer Operator's job to ensure the product presentation is acceptable.

• Sample procedures to ensure quality checks
• Attention to detail and record keeping
• Review and plan for the daily production schedule specific to your position
• Stage raw material (bags, supersacks) inventory
• Must be able to drive a fork truck
• Tracking and trending SPC charting for bag weights and make necessary adjustments
• Ensures hourly metal detector checks are completed and documented
• Maintain a clean workspace during production and at the end of the shift
• Reports to the Lead Operator
• Report all Accidents and Near-Misses immediately.
• Report all Maintenance issues to Lead Operator to enter into the Maintenance work order system
• Create positive relationships with coworkers
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, climb, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively on a daily basis.
• Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.
• Ability to work any shift up to 7 days a week.
