Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Duration: Long-Term Contract Required Experience 8+ years of Hands-on Software Engineering experience 8+ years of experience with Modern Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) 8+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C# 8+ years of experience with Modern UI Frameworks (React, Angular, Web Components) 8+ years of experience integrating APIs, LLMs, Internal Services, and Data Platforms 8+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent 8+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or similar) 8+ years of experience working directly with Customers or Operational Teams 8+ years of experience extending platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and ServiceNow 8+ years of experience delivering systems from Design through Deployment 8+ years of experience with Security Frameworks including NIST, Zero Trust, and TX-RAMP 8+ years of experience in Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication 8+ years of experience evaluating when to use Low-Code versus Custom Development solutions 8+ years of experience identifying High-Value Use Cases and analyzing workflows Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 10+ years of equivalent hands‑on engineering experience Preferred Experience 8+ years of experience in State Government, Regulated Industries, or Multi-Agency Integration Projects 8+ years of Technical Field Engineering (FDE) experience at a Software Platform Company 8+ years of experience designing and implementing AI/LLM solutions including: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Agentic AI Workflows Prompt Engineering Model Evaluation Human-in-the-Loop Review Responsible AI Controls 8+ years of experience supporting Modernization Programs and Shared Technical Services 8+ years of experience building Reusable Components, Design Systems, and Developer Tooling 8+ years of experience evaluating AI/LLM platforms based on Security, Cost, Accuracy, Explainability, Auditability, and Sustainability 6+ years of TX-RAMP knowledge or Auditor Training 1+ year of Cloud Architecture, DevOps, AI, Security, or Kubernetes Certification experience Preferred Certifications CISSP CCSP CISM CKA / CKAD TOGAF Scrum Master SAFe Agile Azure Certifications AWS Certifications Google Cloud Certifications HashiCorp Certifications ISC2 Certifications ISACA Certifications Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled applications and enterprise solutions. Integrate LLMs, APIs, internal services, and enterprise data platforms. Develop cloud-native and modern web applications. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code environments. Extend enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Appian, and ServiceNow. Implement AI/ML and LLM-based workflows. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
