Location: BUILT Brands Corporate Office, American Fork, Utah (must be onsite)

Shift: Day shift

Compensation: $70-$80K

What You Will Do

• Provide quality and food safety testing results for the company
• Accurately enter data from testing and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with purchasing lab supplies and reagents
• Track and manage the progress of multiple samples through each stage of testing
• Create, edit, and maintain laboratory documents and written procedures
• Assist in lab's goal of attaining AOAC and ISO accreditation
• Contribute positively to the team and assist in related tasks when required
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
• Monitor results to ensure compliance with Built specifications
• Assist with problem solving, troubleshooting, and collection of environmental samples
• Read and interpret scientific literature and make recommendations based on results and trends

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment or related field
• A college degree in either microbiology, food science, biology, environmental science, or related field
• Proficient with computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to follow written procedures
• Attention to detail for documenting process and results of each test
• Knowledge of microbiology principles
• Experience with AOAC and ISO requirements and certifications
• Ability to speak and/or comprehend basic Spanish (preferred but not required)
• Working knowledge of programs such as Power BI, Tableau, and Adobe Acrobat (preferred but not required)
