Senior Trial Attorney

Our client is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to lead and expand a high-impact civil practice representing survivors of sexual abuse, assault, exploitation, trafficking, institutional misconduct, and related wrongdoing. This is a senior, partner-level role combining sophisticated litigation, compassionate client advocacy, practice leadership, and meaningful business-development opportunity.

The ideal candidate is a formidable courtroom lawyer—often a former prosecutor or government trial attorney—who can translate major-crimes experience into plaintiff-side civil litigation. The firm offers a national platform, established infrastructure, active matters, and substantial financial upside. A respected solo practitioner or small firm interested in joining a larger platform may also be considered.

Compensation: $200,000 Base + Origination & Performance Upside (OTE $500,000+)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex civil matters involving sexual abuse and assault, child exploitation, human trafficking, institutional liability, domestic violence-related claims, police misconduct, and related survivor claims.
• Direct matters from intake and investigation through pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement, and trial.
• Develop compelling case strategies involving difficult witnesses, sensitive evidence, experts, and serious-felony fact patterns.
• Represent survivors with empathy, discretion, and trauma-informed judgment while pursuing rigorous civil accountability.
• Provide senior litigation leadership, supervise case teams, and mentor attorneys and professional staff.
• Strengthen referral relationships with attorneys, prosecutors, judges, victim-services organizations, advocacy groups, hotlines, and community agencies.
• Help expand the firm’s Florida presence through thought leadership, professional education, public advocacy, and strategic relationship development.

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Bar member in good standing.
• Significant first-chair jury-trial and courtroom experience, ideally developed within a State Attorney’s Office, Attorney General’s Office, U.S. Attorney’s Office, or a sophisticated trial practice.
• Experience handling high-stakes, sensitive matters involving victims, complex evidence, contested proceedings, and emotionally challenging facts.
• Strong judgment, leadership presence, written and oral advocacy, and the credibility to serve as a senior representative of the practice.
• Ability to work compassionately with survivors of trauma while maintaining clear professional boundaries and disciplined litigation strategy.
• Established Florida legal, prosecutorial, judicial, victim-advocacy, or community relationships—or a demonstrated ability to build trusted referral channels.
• Willingness to travel within Florida for client meetings, hearings, depositions, trials, and practice-development activity.
