Company Description Roca is a media company based in New York, NY, that aims to provide non-partisan news for the generation that hates the news. Roca’s mission is to make high-quality, factual news available to young Americans. We deliver nonpartisan, balanced, and informative content to millions of people daily via an app, Instagram, YouTube, and email. Role Description Videographer-editors will shoot and edit mini-documentaries for RocaNews’ YouTube channels, with either a news or sports focus. Applicants must be eager to travel, thrive under tight deadlines, and have proven filming and editing ability. For news roles, applicants should have a passion for world affairs, exploration, and on-the-ground reporting. For sports roles, applicants should be deeply passionate about the world of sports and storytelling. The right candidates will genuinely love RocaNews’ content and vision. They’ll be proactive, well-informed, and committed to our mission of capturing the world without bias or fear. They’ll be excited to travel, work nights and weekends when needed, and help us build the next great media company. Compensation $70,000/year equity in RocaNews. Location All jobs are in-person in our New York City office with frequent travel required. Qualifications An ability to work in a fast-paced news environment and willingness to work on weekends A passion for Roca’s mission Journalism degree/experience is not required Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to live in New York City #J-18808-Ljbffr
