Digital NavigatorThe Digital Navigator provides one-on-one education and support to help People's patients and community members build the skills and confidence needed to independently access digital services.Location: North Clinic, 1101 Camino La Costa, Austin, TX 78752Schedule: Temporary position from October through December 2026. Work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular clinic operating hours.Compensation: Part-time contractor position (30 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $25.00.ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Social Needs and Partnerships Program Manager, this individual's primary responsibilities include:Supporting patients with the Welcome Tablets available in the clinics.Teaching participants how to use their smartphones and other personal devices.Helping participants create and navigate accounts such as MyTexasBenefits.Guiding patients in setting up and safely using online banking.Assisting with patient portals, telehealth platforms, email accounts, online applications, and other essential digital services.Teaching basic digital skills, including internet navigation, password security, recognizing scams, downloading applications, and uploading documents.Connecting participants with affordable internet programs, digital-literacy resources, and other community services.Tracking services provided and documenting program outcomes for Digital Equity reporting.QualificationsEducation:Required:High school diploma or GED.Preferred:Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Information Technology, Public Health, Communications, or a related field.Relevant certifications in digital literacy, community health work, adult education, or technology training are a plus.Experience1-2 years of experience providing customer service, community outreach, patient support, training, education, coaching, or case management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bilingual English/Spanish required.Demonstrated proficiency using:Smartphones and tabletsInternet browsers and search enginesEmail platformsOnline forms and applicationsVideo conferencing and telehealth platformsExperience explaining technology concepts to individuals with varying levels of digital literacy.People's Community Clinic is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, language, disability, pregnancy, gender identity or sex stereotyping.
