Assignment DetailsPosition: Travel RN – CVOR
Department: Open Heart Surgery
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: 10-hour shifts
Employment Type: Travel Contract
As a CVOR RN , you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular surgical team, providing expert nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities:Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments
Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care
Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols
Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care as required
Promote patient safety throughout the surgical experience
Active RN license in the applicable state
Current BLS ,ACLS certification
Recent CVOR/Open Heart Surgery experience
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practices
Excellent critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to maintaining patient safety and the highest standards of care
