Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in accurately picking, packing, and processing orders within a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled warehouse. This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with overtime at the end of each quarter and possible work on the last Saturday of every quarter. You will spend most of the day on your feet, moving throughout the warehouse and using an RF scanner to ensure orders are picked and processed correctly.

• Pick customer orders accurately by following pick sheets and using an RF scanner throughout the warehouse.
• Retrieve pick sheets, prepare carts, and operate RF scanning equipment at the start of each picking cycle.
• Walk the warehouse to locate and select products according to order specifications and inventory locations.
• Perform careful quality checks on all orders to ensure items, quantities, and packaging meet requirements.
• Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment in accordance with shipping and receiving procedures.
• Organize inventory in designated locations to maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient warehouse layout.
• Replenish inventory as needed to keep stock levels accurate and support smooth order fulfillment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including staging, labeling, and moving products as directed.
• Follow warehouse processes to maintain accurate records of picked, packed, and shipped orders.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and double-check work to minimize errors and returns.

• Hands-on experience in a warehouse environment with order picking and packing responsibilities.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for locating, picking, and tracking inventory and orders.
• Ability to read and follow pick sheets and order lists with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset to double-check orders and minimize errors.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing orders for shipment.
• Capability to organize and maintain inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ability to replenish inventory and ensure stock is stored correctly in designated locations.
• Comfort working on your feet all day and walking throughout the warehouse.
• Reliability in following procedures, meeting daily picking goals, and supporting team workflows.

• Previous experience using RF scanners in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Background in inventory control, including organizing, tracking, and replenishing stock.
• Experience with picking, packing, and shipping workflows in a quiet, structured warehouse setting.
• Ability to work overtime at quarter-end and occasional Saturdays as needed.
• Comfort working independently while also collaborating with a small, tenured team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
