Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid twice per month Target Salary: $23.00-$24.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:30pm Prior experience: with production quality and/or materials management Preferred: adaptability to change in a fast‑paced work environment Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision benefits start at 30 days 401(k) savings plan with company match Discounted employee stock purchase options Quality employee discounts on tools, cars, appliances, travel and more All major holidays paid and paid time off within your first year Up to 12 weeks paid maternity leave Overview The Quality Coordinator is responsible for providing day‑to‑day quality support at the assembly plant, working closely with customers in a high‑pace environment to assist with material needs and perform quality focus checks to support root‑cause analysis. Essential Functions Schedule inbound trailers to the dock Report material on the GM Host System Act as a troubleshooter for material that cannot be processed through normal channels by GM personnel Handle the processing of “hot” parts Handle field calls and answer questions regarding material that flows through the cross‑dock Update material flow information in the cross‑dock database, monitor non‑conformance by suppliers/carriers, and record those issues in an issue database Ensure that material flows smoothly and efficiently through the cross‑dock Ensure that information is shared timely with personnel from GM and Ryder Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Education High‑school diploma or GED Experience Three (3) years or more of previous experience in the department Three (3) years or more experience with GM Inventory Systems (Host systems) Skills Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks Math skills to analyze data Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations Ability to build strong customer relationships Ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to walk on concrete floors for 8 hours daily Flexibility to operate and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized, with excellent time‑management skills Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices Knowledge Cross‑dock processes; intermediate level Knowledge of computer applications for tracking and reporting (Excel, Word, Ryder YMS, Cross‑Dock database); intermediate level Travel No Compensation Information Hourly rates range from $23.00 to $24.00 per hour. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
