Construction Sales - National Account Manager

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships at specified accounts. This includes driving internal initiatives related to pricing and quote system management, developing reports and presentations, customer promotion and new product development, competitive information/database management, and merchandising and advertising programs. The successful candidate will represent the Construction Products Division (CPD) at retail customer sites as needed. This is a hybrid position located at 2020 Bruck Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207. Posted Friday, May 15, 2026 at 4:00 AM Responsibilities Promotes project/program success by thorough communication and team-building, serving as a liaison between sales/marketing staff and the laboratories, building trust and teamwork among internal personnel, and providing clear written information to associates and external customers. Ensures a consistent brand/corporate image by developing well-crafted communications, initiating and supporting the production of presentations and quotes, reviewing information for errors, preparing visual aids, literature, and other materials, and coordinating activities with Franklin personnel for customer meetings and trade shows. Seeks to increase customer satisfaction by researching and identifying opportunities to enhance marketing programs, working with marketing, sales, lab, operations, and key customers to identify issues and opportunities for improvement, implementing research studies with sales force and internal associates, collecting competitive intelligence and industry trends, and reporting observations from the marketplace. Facilitates wise decision-making by compiling and tracking data, working with analytical teams to run standard sales reports, designing and maintaining quote, competitive pricing, and product cross-reference databases, ensuring adequate stock and distribution of literature and promotional materials, managing all customer backend programs, maintaining updated files on accounts, tracking sales data, and reporting sales trends to the Director of National Accounts and VP of Construction Sales. Achieves monthly, quarterly, and yearly company sales margin and goals related to assigned accounts, develops proposals, negotiates terms and conditions, and implements contractual agreements while delivering strong financial results. Preserves Franklin’s long-term financial well-being through appropriate strategic planning, providing insight for the Construction Division’s strategic and operational plans, evaluating and testing new methods to streamline procedures, and leading cross‑department initiatives for assigned national accounts. Represents Franklin well with the retail customer base, managing sales presentations, product line reviews, and product training sessions. Qualifications This position requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing or sales with at least three years of applicable support experience, or 5‑8 years of relevant marketing or sales experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Product application experience and/or technical aptitude are preferred.
