CNC Operator

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring CNC Operators for a custom manufacturing company in Northwood, IA. In this role, youll support daily production by operating CNC equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe workspace. What You'll Do as a CNC Operator:

• Read and interpret manufacturing job orders
• Set up CNC machines and equipment per job specifications
• Order and stage materials as needed
• Perform quality and value-added checks throughout production
• Accurately track time, parts, scrap, and labor in the manufacturing software
• Assist with general equipment maintenance
• Sort, stack, count, and package finished parts
• Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout
• Train new operators on equipment

What You Need to Bring to the CNC Operator Role:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6+ months of relevant experience or training (manufacturing preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to lift/move 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodations)
• Ability to follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
