Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.The OpportunityConover is seeking an hourly Mechanical Maintenance Technician with the ability to provide primary Machinist skills with secondary skills in welding and millwrighting.Key ResponsibilitiesIdeal candidates will have substantial experience in a job shop, repairs facility, or in maintenance machine work.Knowledge and hands-on experience with various measurement tools including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators. Proficiency in working with all types of metals.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. High attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.Effective troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to read and understand equipment manuals & drawingsAbility to properly document repairs and inspectionsComputer skills adequate to look up bill of materials & stores parts, enter work results, and complete work orders.Good working knowledge of rigging equipment and techniquesAbility to measure, lay out, and fabricate repair partsWhat You Need to SucceedTen years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman machinist level, orFive years of relevant industrial or military experience and a two-year technical degreeExceptional communicationCNC and Non-CNC machining preferredWhat We OfferA workplace culture built on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence.
