POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking an On-Site Consecutive Interpreter English - Spanish to join our team in Modesto, CA. In this vital role, you will provide direct interpretation services in various settings, ensuring effective communication between English and Spanish-speaking individuals, particularly in business, healthcare, and community environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate on-site interpretation during meetings, appointments, and events, accurately conveying spoken communication between parties.
• Ensure clarity and consistency in interpretation by utilizing consecutive interpretation techniques for better understanding.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interpretation interactions, adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Prepare for assignments by researching necessary terminology and understanding the context of the subject matter.
• Continuously improve language and interpreting skills to provide the best support to clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent oral communication skills in both languages.
