Electronics Test Technician

Reports to the area Supervisor. Minimum supervision on routine work assignments. This role is responsible for following all safety and work procedures to successfully complete production and special testing, and examine and test electrical products. Prepare the product for testing by safely making the connections required for the test being performed. Stop construction of non-compliant installations.Hours: Friday - Sunday 6am-6pm then Thursday - Sunday 6am-6pmWhat You'll DoVisually examine and inspect the product for completeness of assembly, quality, and conformance to specifications and work instructions.Look for frayed wires and loose connections.Perform electrical routine tests as requiredAble to interpret test results for acceptance or rejection of the productDocument actions by completing production and quality formsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in the performance of testing tasks as neededInspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operationCompile inspection reports.Write up recommendations for improvement.Report violations.Able to prioritize jobs and coordinate with production lead operators and/or supervisorNotify the lead or supervisor of problems found during testingObserve and follow safety rules and regulationsAble to communicate test results and/or failure modes effectively to Supervisor, Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Assurance personnel.Perform Other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringHigh School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development requiredMust be able to safely use small hand and power toolsMust be able to read and interpret DrawingsAbility to use measurements such as a ruler, measuring tape, and caliperMust have basic computer skillsContinuous training on new equipment or new processes required to test power bushings and based upon additional assignments.Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, and assembly drawingsMust have attention to detail and be able to work independently and follow written proceduresPrior experience with testing equipment, preferablyEquipment testing as required by various product lines.Some product lines require a final check of the product with completion of documentation for files.Will have final review of equipment and will complete inspection informationMust be able to use testing gauges and/or electrical test equipment such as OHM meters.The ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions.What We Value0-2-years experience of working in a manufacturing environment desirableEqual Opportunity Employer.
