Radiological Services Attendant - Cobble Hill

Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiological Services Attendant – Cobble Hill. In this role, the successful candidate assists X‑Ray Technologists with preparing patients and exam areas for various radiologic examinations. Maintains equipment, supply levels and cleanliness of exam rooms. Receives guidance from Manager/Supervisor and Lead X‑Ray Technologist. Job Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of the organization’s mission and core values and incorporate them into the performance of duties. Prepare patient for procedure; gather and set up equipment and supplies according to departmental procedures; notify Technologist of patient arrival. Act as liaison between front desk, lead technologists, RNs, physicians, and patients. Escort patients from waiting area to changing rooms to procedure rooms. Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient, ask patient to confirm by stating their first name. Introduce self to the patient in a pleasant and courteous manner. Give patient appropriate gown/shorts for examination requested; assist in lifting and transferring patient onto the exam table if needed. Provide for patient comfort before, during, and after the procedure, including staying with the patient while the technologist leaves the room; recognize need for and follow isolation precautions. Demonstrate skill in using the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology. When needed, assist patients with safely guiding them to bathroom facilities and/or administering urinals. Ensure the exam rooms are sufficiently stocked and neat; change linen bags throughout the day and replenish linen and other supplies as needed; clean the rooms after every patient. Assist with other duties as required, including answering phones, taking messages, administering surveys, etc. Minimum Qualifications One year of healthcare‑related experience, including customer service with direct patient contact. Demonstrated ability and knowledge of proper body mechanics for lifting patients. Preferred Qualifications High School Degree or equivalent. Salary The salary range for this role is $48,698.21 – $48,698.21 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs. The listed range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other compensations.
