Dental Hygienist
About the Role We are looking for a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide exceptional preventive oral care to our patients. You'll work closely with our dentists to deliver a comfortable, high-quality experience while educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing
- Take and review dental X-rays and document findings
- Screen patients for oral diseases and conditions (gum disease, oral cancer, etc.)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Review and update patient medical/dental histories
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants
- Collaborate with dentists on patient care plans
- Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment areas per infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active state dental hygienist license (required)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and patient relations skills
- Experience with dental software a plus
