About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Ventura MedStaff to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Middletown, Connecticut, 06457!

Travel ICU/CCU RN is needed to start ASAP for 13 weeks in a facility in Connecticut. Shifts consist 12 hours, 7-7, every other weekend and holiday. 36 hours are guaranteed. Certifications required are BLS and ACLS. EMR is Cerner. Medication system is Pyxis. Travel experience is required unless the RN has 3-5 years of experience. There are 24 beds in the ICU. The CCU RN staff do not float to other areas of the hospital unless they are cross-trained and agree to it. The ratio for CCU is 2:1, less or greater depending upon acuity. The ratio for IMCU patients is 3:1 on days and evenings, and 4:1 on nights, less or greater depending on acuity. The RNs are supported by Respiratory Therapists, PCTs (unlicensed personnel), unit secretaries, and monitor techs 24/7.
