Your Mission:

As the General Manager & Lead Instructor, you’ll wear two important hats: one as the operations leader and the other as our head driving instructor. You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations while also delivering engaging, effective behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction aligned with our Jungle curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations:

• Lead daily operations of the school, ensuring efficiency, excellence, and alignment with our jungle-themed brand.

• Promote the Jungle Driving School through proactive, goal-driven marketing efforts and community outreach and involvement.

• Recruit, train, and supervise driving instructors.

• Oversee scheduling, student enrollment, and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate financial records, manage budgets, and report key performance metrics with high attention to detail.

• Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.

Instructional Duties:

• Teach classroom and behind-the-wheel sessions using the Jungle training method and Jungle Readiness Compass.

• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive, confidence-building feedback.

• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and state-mandated documentation.

• Stay up-to-date with road laws, safety practices, and instructional techniques.

• Foster a fun, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.

• Driving Expertise: You have a solid understanding of motor vehicle laws and vehicle operation, and you’re ready to share this knowledge with the next generation of drivers.

• Clear Communicator: Your excellent communication skills and ability to confidentially command a room, help you connect with students, parents, and staff make you an engaging and supportive instructor.

• Patience & Calm: You’re composed, patient, and have the ability to remain calm while riding along with student drivers as they develop their driving skills.

• Adaptable & Flexible: You’re ready to accept change with unforeseen circumstances and adapt to the needs of the students. You’re comfortable driving and instructing in all weather conditions.

• A Passion for Teaching: You’re excited to be part of the journey that helps students gain independence and become confident, safe drivers.

• Engaging Personality: You skillfully incorporate humor and humility to enhance the Jungle Driving experience, creating a fun and memorable class environment for our students. At the same time, you maintain the highest standards of instruction, ensuring both engagement and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Candidates who currently hold a driving instructor’s license highly preferred

• If no driving instructor license, must hold a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certification.

• Ability to attend training in Omaha, NE from 8/10 - 8/14

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Two years of related experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

• Experience owning or managing a small business is a plus

• Must be 19 years of age or older

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable spending extended periods in a vehicle

• Physical ability to operate an automobile

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

• Ability to stand for a prolonged amount of time while facilitating classroom instruction

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which includes criminal history, motor vehicle records, and sex offender registry reviews, as well as a drug screening.
