Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Test Technician to support the development, operation, and improvement of motor testing systems. This role is responsible for building and maintaining dynamometer (dyno) test setups, executing test plans, collecting performance data, and troubleshooting hardware and instrumentation issues. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with mechanical and electrical systems and is proactive in identifying opportunities to improve test equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and operate motor test rigs, including custom dynamometer systems.
• Execute test plans and accurately collect performance and test data.
• Troubleshoot test failures by:
  • Diagnosing hardware-related issues.
  • Identifying problems with test setups, instrumentation, or equipment.
  • Performing component teardowns and failure analysis when required.
• Assist with the design, development, and enhancement of test fixtures and test systems.
• Support basic electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including wiring harness fabrication and simple system builds.
• Manage assigned work through task tracking systems (e.g., Jira) while proactively identifying and supporting additional testing or development needs.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
