Do you enjoy solving problems, talking customers through what you’re doing, and leaving every job site cleaner than you found it? Do you like working with your hands and your head—testing, wiring, documenting, and getting systems running right? If so, keep reading.

What will you handle day-to-day?

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems.
• Check ducting and ensure company tools/materials stay in serviceable condition.
• Wire and commission complete systems; perform start-ups; test & record performance results.
• Troubleshoot, recommend fixes, and make repairs to restore proper function.
• Conduct thorough inspections; communicate open issues to dispatch and the customer.
• Explain all work performed in clear terms to dispatch/customer.
• Coordinate your schedule directly with the office and order parts so you’re ready for upcoming calls.
• Transport parts/materials/tools and keep accurate accounting of assigned items.
• Complete digital paperwork accurately and on time; debrief each call with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and a clean, organized company vehicle.
• Uphold company performance standards, ethics, and a courteous, professional demeanor—always wearing protective floor savers in customers’ homes.
• Follow all safety procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Who succeeds here?

• Graduates with a high school diploma or GED.
• Technicians with 1+ year of HVAC service experience and an active EPA Certification.
• Pros who can solder/braze and communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).
• People comfortable with tablets/computers, basic internet use, and email (Outlook).
• Those with a valid driver’s license who can work overtime on short notice, including occasional weekends.

Bonus points

• HVAC trade school certification.
• 1–2 years’ experience in construction, HVAC, or related trades.

• Safety-first approach and commitment to a safety culture.
• Related experience may substitute for formal education.

Where and how you’ll work

• Work primarily at occupied homes and on construction sites; minimal office time.
• Drive between locations.
• Expect construction-site conditions: equipment in operation, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors.
• Be ready for all weather (heat, rain, cold, wind) and wear required PPE.

Physical demands

• Operate a passenger vehicle or forklift.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Regular climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, and crouching.
• Work at heights; use ladders and stairs; occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding with required fall protection.
• Wear PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety toe construction-grade boots.
• Stand, walk, or sit for long periods.
• Hear and distinguish speech/sounds to safely operate phones and equipment.
• Maintain visual acuity for close/distance and peripheral vision with normal depth perception (with or without correction).
• Communicate verbally to share information.
• Enter data via keyboard or 10-key keypad.
• Use hands/arms to reach overhead; signal; grasp; hold; lift; turn; push; and pull tools and materials.
