Safety Manager

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):
• Evaluates practices and procedures to assess risk and ensure adherence to the law.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Administer worker's compensation program to include recording, investigating, and reporting workers compensation claims.
• Maintain EPA/MPCA records.
• Maintain OSHA injury and workers compensation records.
• Maintain DOT driver files.
• Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and ISO 9001:2015.
• Supports other CEG facilities as needed.

Education and/or Experience preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in safety and facilities
• Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Syspro computer programs
• Strong communications and interpersonal capabilities
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Integrity that is above reproach
