Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Carmel, NY 10512. 

Job Details: 
Schedule:  Monday-Friday (8:30 am - 5 pm)
Location:  Carmel ,  NY10512
Float / Coverage Area:  Fishkill NY 12524 (Every Tuesday and the 2nd Thursday of each month .)
Job Type: 4+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion )
Pay Range: $21-$23/hr. on W2
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  

Duties: 

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Set up and break down sterile procedures.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
• Provide hands-on patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• Assist patients over the phone when needed.
• Process medication refill requests.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Follow proper sterile techniques.
• Operate and maintain an autoclave.
• Use high-level disinfectants for medical instruments.
• Document and update patient information using Epic EMR.

Requirements: 

• Education: H igh school diploma or GED required,
• Certification(s):  Medical assistant
• Years of experience: 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience with a surgical background .
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: U nderstanding of and ability to apply sterile technique, autoclave and high level disinfectant experience. experience with epic EMR
