Data Analyst (Biostatistician / Web Developer)

DEPARTMENT: Public Policy LOCATION: Washington, D.C. amfAR is seeking a Data Analyst (Biostatistician / Web Developer) for a full-time, on-site position in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, modeling, and interpreting data to support ongoing HIV/AIDS research initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing statistical models, conducting data analysis, creating visualizations, and maintaining web-based tools for data reporting. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and deliver insights that influence research strategies and initiatives. amfAR is a leading nonprofit advancing scientific discovery to improve global health, with a primary and enduring commitment to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. PRIMARY FUNCTION Designs and conducts quantitative analyses for the Public Policy Office Builds and maintains office databases Supports presentations with partner organizations. PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide statistical support to PPO team for health policy analyses to inform advocacy efforts, policy reports, or academic publications Work with the PPO team to develop future innovative projects that may require statistical and/or database support Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics expertise for evaluating intricate datasets and deriving actionable insights Proficiency in Statistics and Data Modeling for predictive analysis and advanced statistical computation Excellent Communication skills to effectively share findings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience with web development technologies for maintaining and improving data reporting tools Ability to work collaboratively within a research-driven team environment Attend domestic and global convenings as needed Complete other relevant projects, as assigned.
