Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer – New Mexico Start Date: June 8, 2026 Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 hours per week guaranteed; outpatient setting with approximately 8 visits per day across 3 rooms; no call, no weekends, no floating required Highlights Pediatric cardiac sonography focus in a 554-bed Level I Trauma and Teaching Children's Hospital Outpatient echocardiography with exposure to complex congenital anomalies and post-surgical repairs Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents Cerner charting system; complimentary parking provided 13-week assignment with potential for extension (minimum 10 weeks required) No local candidates accepted within 100-mile radius Requirements Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience required ARDMS or CCI certification (ARDMS RDCS-PE or CCI RCCS preferred) Current BLS certification (RQI certifications not accepted) Proficiency in 2-D echo, color/pulsed/continuous wave Doppler, M-Mode, and pediatric-specific techniques Experience scanning complex congenital anomalies including tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of great vessels, hypoplastic heart syndrome, and coarctation of the aorta Competency in portable studies and procedures in ICU/ED settings State license may be pending at time of submission COVID vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted with documentation) Flu vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity This role offers the chance to work in a premier pediatric teaching facility specializing in complex cardiac care for the youngest and most vulnerable patients.
