MRI Technologist Position

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position. This is a PRN position. Shifts may rotate at the OSF Cancer Institute.

Position Summary

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information, and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED, Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
• Licensure/ Certification: BLS American Heart Association, ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 years radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.
• Licensure/ Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered.
