Safety Coordinator

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Mission Critical projects. This position will be working directly with other project leads to address safety/health requirements on the jobsite. This is a key position in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects from start to finish.

The Data Center Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and enforcement of Hunt Electric's safety program on data center construction projects. This position works closely with the project safety team, field supervision, and craft employees to promote a safe work environment, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and assist with daily safety activities.

Major Duties:

• Conduct safety assessments/inspections of projects under construction to monitor and ensure compliance with safety/health requirements including contractual commitments, laws, regulations and the project's site specific environmental, safety, and health plans. A strong emphasis will be placed on promoting and improving the company's "Safety leading measures"
• Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement environmental, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Assist the Safety & Risk manager in the development of Method of Procedure (MOP) and critical activity plans.
• Working knowledge of injury prevention, compliance, and risk reduction techniques.
• Conduct investigations into employee and sub-contractor injuries, motor vehicle accidents, spills, discharges, theft, vandalism, property damages and develop written reports to document, including root cause analysis.
• As directed, conduct safety & compliance training for supervisors & field employees.
• Lead and direct in case of an emergency event.
• Provide comprehensive written reports to document site visits, activities, and incidents as needed.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, a goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, and a "Can-Do" positive attitude.
• Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years' safety experience in a construction setting preferred.
• Electrical trade experience preferred.
• Possession OSHA construction certification preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations as applied to construction and general industry.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in an active commercial construction environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Valid driver's license.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Mon - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm, possible Saturdays 6:00am - 2:30pm.
