MRI TECHNOLOGIST WANTED - FOR WEEKEND COVERAGE - Experienced MRI Technologist 8 hours every Saturday. Additional hours may be available to cover for vacations. Attention MRI Technologists looking to join a dynamic and growing hospital system. The Danbury Hospital is seeking a MRI Technologist for its Day/Evening shift. This role requires weekend availability – Saturday days – and willingness to cover holidays and call rotation. It is a union position that offers competitive rates and an opportunity to supplement income while working weekends with passionate teammates. Candidates with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience are urged to apply. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of MRI experience with an ultrasound or CT scan background. Summary Performs high-quality diagnostic and accurate MRI procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients. Responsibilities Provides optimum patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise to safely and correctly operate MRI equipment. Performs and records quality assurance daily #. Develops skills to practice in a safe, clinical environment. Develops skills in contrast administration. Demonstrates self‑direction and utilizes problem‑solving techniques. Cross‑trained in another modality. Maintains technical competency in the following less frequent order procedure (2 or more years experience). Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Minimum Experience: one year Desired: 3 years experience in MRI; background in ultrasound or CT scan. Location: Danbury – 24 Hospital Ave Work Type: Full‑Time Standard Hours: 40.00 Work Schedule: Day/Eve 8 Work Shift: MRI Technologist Variable 40 hours per week. The technologist will be expected to take call on a rotation. Holiday call on a rotation. Grade: U11. Salary Range $44,000 – $56,040 plus shift differentials. Credentials American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiographer Education High school graduate or equivalent. Working Conditions Significant manual skills / motor coordination & finger dexterity. Significant occupational risk. Very heavy effort; may exert up to 50 lbs. force. Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc. Non‑acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
