TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Saint Joseph, Missouri, 64506!

Job Title: GI Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous travel experience preferred - EPIC experience preferred Description: GI Lab Registered Nurse needed for a unit with 11 pre/post bays and 3 procedure rooms. This unit services patients with gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. The shift is 5x8 days from 07:00 to 15:30. Call is required 1 time per week from 15:30 to 07:00. Three weekend on-call shifts are required per contract: Friday 15:30 to Monday 07:00. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. No first-time travelers will be considered. Candidates must have experience with the following skills: - Airway management - Balloon dilators - Circulating procedures - Colonoscopy - Endoscopic procedures such as EGD and ERCP - Management of dysrhythmias - Specimen handling and labeling - Starting and maintaining IVs The daily census averages around 25 patients. Additional interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. Common patient diagnoses include GI bleed, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diarrhea, constipation, and bile duct obstruction. Special procedures performed in this unit include endoscopic ultrasound, Botox injections, and radiofrequency ablation. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as working within a team is necessary to provide optimal patient care.
