Work Environment

As part of our outpatient clinics, you will work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals including occupational therapists, orthopedic specialists, and rehabilitation nurses. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by assessing medical history and performing specific physical assessments to determine their rehabilitation needs.
• Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring they are integral in setting achievable goals.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols based on the latest evidence-based practices, continuously adapting to the patient's health status and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and manage any changes in the patient's condition requiring adjustments to their care plan.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care efficiently, ensuring that documentation and billing for patient care are accurately recorded and submitted in a timely manner.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide services to a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges and opportunities for recovery, allowing you to practice a wide array of techniques and modalities tailored to individual therapeutic needs.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia is required, along with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are welcome, candidates with prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be given preference. Specialized training in manual therapy techniques or advanced rehabilitation methods will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
