Buyer ICoordinates activities and initiatives related to the procurement and distribution of materials, equipment, supplies, and outsourcing for the organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by performing the following duties.What Does My Workday Look Like in This Role:Maintains procurement records and performs data entry into ERP/spreadsheets on items or services purchased, cost, delivery, quality, inventories, performance, etc.Reviews new and existing order requisitions, obtains information and may negotiate on items such as price, availability, and delivery schedule from various Suppliers for product or services.Compiles detailed assessment of items to select Suppliers and places approved purchase orders as required.Manages the progress and delivery dates on raw materials/goods, services and communicates with internal and external parties. Addresses any issues and coordinates expediated delivery terms as needed.Creates new products in PRMS (AS400 based System).Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.Provides input and solutions to improve outsourcing strategy.Other duties/projects assigned as necessary.Required Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' related experience, or at least 5+ years' related experience.Demonstrated strong attention to detail, customer service, problem-solving and math abilities.Organized and able to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.Ability to be a team player and willingness to step in and take on new responsibilities as needed.Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
