These roles support different populations but share a focus on vocational services, employer engagement, and helping people build greater independence through work.Employment Specialist | Adolescent Skills CentersAdolescent Skills Centers support young adults as they build the educational, vocational, and life skills needed to pursue greater independence and long-term goals. Employment Specialists provide individualized vocational support and help young people prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment.Location: Bronx, Manhattan, or QueensSchedule: Full-time. hybridPay Range: $29.23- 32.97/hourResponsibilities May IncludeProviding vocational counseling, career exploration, and employment readiness supportHelping participants identify employment goals and develop individualized plansSupporting résumé development, interview preparation, and job search strategiesProviding job coaching and retention supportIdentifying employment, internship, training, and educational opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining relationships with employers and community partnersStaying informed about labor market trends and employer expectationsSupporting youth engagement, problem-solving, and conflict resolutionMaintaining accurate and timely documentationCollaborating with program staff and other supports involved in each participant's goalsRequired Skills, Abilities & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum of two years of experience providing vocational or employment services to youthSkill in youth engagement, vocational counseling, and conflict resolutionKnowledge of labor market trends and employer expectationsExperience with evidence-based practices and job coaching modelsBilingual skills preferredIPS Specialist | Older Adult ACTThe Older Adult Assertive Community Treatment program helps adults over age 50 with serious mental illness build the skills and supports needed to achieve greater independence and live meaningful lives in their communities.The Individual Placement and Support Specialist helps ACT participants obtain and maintain competitive employment consistent with their vocational goals using the evidence-based IPS supported employment model.Location: Bronx, NYSchedule: Full-time, remote with 75–100% field work requiredPay Range: $29.23- 32.97/hourResponsibilities May IncludeDelivering individualized supported employment services using the IPS modelAssessing vocational skills, interests, strengths, and preferencesSupporting clients with employment, schooling, and technical training goalsConducting individualized job development and job search activitiesBuilding relationships with employers and identifying competitive employment opportunitiesProviding education and ongoing support to employersHelping clients understand how employment may affect benefits and entitlementsSupporting participants in individual and group settingsCollaborating with the multidisciplinary ACT treatment team to integrate vocational and behavioral health servicesMaintaining timely and accurate documentationRequired Skills, Abilities & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a mental health or related field; Master's preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disordersMinimum of 1 year experience in job development and employer engagement with underserved communitiesAbility to travel 75–100% throughout NYC boroughs and nearby countiesCultural competence in mental health, disability, and employment settingsStrong crisis response and sound judgmentAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary behavioral health teamsProficiency in documentation and electronic health record systemsBilingual skills preferredJoin Our Candidate PoolIf your background aligns with this work, we encourage you to share your information and stay connected with Vibrant.
