Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit, caring for adult patients with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal (travelers do not take pediatric patients)
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–7 on nights
• Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC
• Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage change effectively throughout a shift
• Strong ability to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic inpatient environment
