This unit manages general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The patient load will turn over faster than a typical medical-surgical unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 for medical/surgical registered nurses. Candidates must have a work history with no gaps greater than 60 days. Skills checklist and professional references are required. Certification cards must be verified. All demographic information must be included in the profile, alongside a badge-appropriate picture.
