Job Description

Join a specialized electronics manufacturer as an assembler and inspector of mechanical components used in aviation headsets. In this role, you perform detailed mechanical and electronic assembly, support testing activities that require strong hearing ability, and contribute to the production of high-quality headsets for the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electronic components for aviation headsets according to established procedures and specifications.

• Perform mechanical assembly of small parts, ensuring accurate fit, alignment, and secure fastening.

• Conduct board-level testing of electronic assemblies, using good hearing ability to verify audio quality and performance.

• Inspect assembled mechanical parts and electronic boards for defects, proper solder joints, and overall quality.

• Carry out soldering and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs) as needed to correct issues or implement changes.

• Follow detailed work instructions and assembly diagrams to maintain consistency and product reliability.

• Handle small components carefully to avoid damage and ensure precise placement during assembly.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards in an electronics manufacturing environment.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.

• Report any product or process issues promptly and assist in basic troubleshooting during testing and inspection.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Mechanical assembly skills, including working with small parts and components.

• Experience with electronics assembly and familiarity with electronic components.

• Ability to perform board-level testing of electronic assemblies.

• Good hearing ability to support audio-related testing of aviation headsets.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual instructions accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with soldering and solder rework on PCBs is a strong plus.

• Experience in small parts assembly, particularly in electronics or similar precision work.

• Comfort working in a small warehouse-style electronics manufacturing environment.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.

• Strong focus on quality and reliability in assembly and inspection tasks.

Work Environment

The role is based in an electronics manufacturing facility with a small warehouse-style environment. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Oswego, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
