Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description

The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts in a climate-controlled environment. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, preparing tooling and fixtures, monitoring machine performance, and using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to prepare machines for production.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and identify issues affecting production efficiency or part quality.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to optimize performance and maintain consistent output.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures while operating equipment.

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality parts.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic issues affecting machine performance or product quality.

• Previous experience working as a CNC machinist or in a CNC production environment.
• Familiarity with different tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously improve processes.

The role is based in a climate-controlled facility designed to maintain a comfortable and consistent working temperature throughout the year. You will work around CNC mills and lathes and use precision measuring instruments as part of your daily activities, in a clean, organized, and safety-conscious production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bradenton,FL.
