We will also provide care services in select Eastside communities, including Kirkland and Kenmore.We are looking for compassionate, reliable Caregivers who take pride in providing hands-on, in-home care that helps our clients maintain dignity, safety and independence at home. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player who treats every client like family.Caregiver SummaryThe Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Care Manager to provide personal care and support services that meet each client's individual needs. The Caregiver is assigned to clients in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of care, and delivers services in alignment with HomeWell's mission and standards of care. The Caregiver does not perform tasks that constitute the practice of nursing, including administering medications or physician-ordered procedures.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDCurrent Washington State Home Care Aid (HCA) certification or actively obtainingCurrent CPR certificationCurrent physical and/or negative TB test, if applicableValid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insuranceMinimum of one year of documented caregiving experienceAble to read, write and communicate effectively with clients, families and staffSelf-directed and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervisionGenuine empathy for clients; treats clients, families and coworkers with courtesy and respectWorks well as a member of a care team and maintains confidentiality of client medical informationWilling to travel locally/regionally to client homesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance with daily living (ADL), companionship and respite care as directed by the Client Care PlanAssist with personal care: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing and toiletingPerform light housekeeping, including bed linens, and keep the client's space clean and safePrepare meals, clean up afterward, and assist with feeding as needed.Provide medication reminders to support self-administrationSupport skin care and repositioning to help prevent skin breakdownAssist with active and passive range-of-motion exercises per the client's care planAssist with walking, transferring, and transportation to appointments and errandsRecord vital signs, height, weight and intake/output as requiredFollow infection control precautions and use equipment properly and safelyRespond rapidly and appropriately to emergency situationsPromote a safe environment and quality care by following agency policies and proceduresUphold client rights, including privacy, dignity, consent, and confidentiality of informationCompensationTotal compensation includes wages, benefits plus performance bonuses.Wages –$22 - $27 per hour, depending on experience and credentialsBenefits401k match – 5%; fully vests after 1-year with agencyPTO - 2 weeks for 1st year; PTO accrues with each hour worked; PTO accruals increases with additional years of service with the agencyMileage reimbursement where applicableHealth Insurance; after minimum service commitmentOn-call differentialScrubs providedPerformance and Referral Bonuses available – more detail to be provided during orientation and onboarding
