Facilities Manager

Job TitleThe high-profile position will apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to manage the physical infrastructure of the plant and its equipment.Job ResponsibilitiesLead by example that safety is a way of lifeLead/Manage the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departmentsMinimize unplanned equipment downtime and maximize equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiativesEnsure Facilities Engineering metrics are well-known, and track progress toward achieving department objectivesEstablish project goals, and lead the group effort toward successfully completing those projectsManage the maintenance and repair budgetContribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and scrap reductionDevelop the capabilities of those in the department through teaching, coaching, establishing high standards, and ensuring accountabilityExhibit and promote an attitude on the plant floor that leads to an engaged and energized workforceAdvise, assist and review all matters involving capital and major expenses. Good people management interpersonal skills, ability to speak to groups of employees or outside agencies, mathematical skills and analytical program solving. Good understanding of financial data.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED : PC literate, CAD, mainframe computer, and various measurement devices.SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Occasional electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment interface.
