Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Shift: Mon-Friday 7am-4:30pm

Job Description
This role involves performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate and sheet while reading blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and fabricating precise assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate and sheet to produce high-quality welds.
• Read and interpret shop prints and blueprints accurately to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and related fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies according to drawings and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools, including dial calipers, to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure all work meets specified requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures in a manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of relevant TIG and MIG welding experience and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
• Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding on steel and aluminum components.
• Ability to read and interpret shop prints and blueprints accurately.
• Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools, including dial calipers, to verify dimensions.
• Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality requirements in fabrication work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with aluminum and steel components in a production or fabrication environment.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, welding, or fabrication shop setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
You will work in a manufacturing, welding, and fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled, which may involve varying temperatures throughout the year. The environment includes welding machines, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring tools such as dial calipers. You can expect a hands-on, shop-floor setting where safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for a weld and fabrication shop are essential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
