Customer Service Representative-Bilingual Cantonese/Mandarin

Transdev in Oakland, CA is hiring a Bilingual (Mandarin/Cantonese) Customer Service Representative to act as a liaison for our customers, providers, and clients. We are seeking a customer service-oriented person who is dedicated to safety.

Non-CBA Position:

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $21.50 – Maximum $30.09

Benefits include:

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns with timely responses and accurate information or redirecting to a supervisor.
• Comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures
• Meet or exceed established performance requirements.
• Document trip authorizations and details including transportation type, pickup times, appointment times and addresses.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be bilingual in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin
• Computer literate
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate standard telephone system.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• 100% of the job is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
• Sit, type and look at a computer screen for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
