Job TitleAir Reserve TechnicianJob DescriptionThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), technical authority responsible for coordinating the work of other journey-level workers to perform/advise scheduled or unscheduled inspections, repairs, replacements, troubleshoot, documentation, build-up and tear down, flightline maintenance and operational runs of aircraft propulsion systems installed or uninstalled, and to provide training to all assigned reservist personnel as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.Duty 1Serves as technical authority to perform/coordinate/oversee troubleshooting and analysis of gas turbine engines to determine air worthiness of propulsion systems installed on aircraft on the flight line and uninstalled in back shop and test cell capacities.Duty 2Coordinates, oversees and performs the disassembly, repair, overhaul, inspection and reassembly of aircraft propulsion systems, sub-assemblies, and components.Duty 3Skilled/certified in the operation and maintenance of diagnostic test equipment, on-board electronic equipment, a variety of special equipment, hand, measurement and power tools.Duty 4Enforces and complies with safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.Duty 5Certify, utilize and enforce the work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program and applicable commercial aircraft/propulsion manuals.
