The Clinical Manager- Trainer ensures children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and related disorders, receive the specialized intervention services they need to gain the skills necessary for active participation in their communities. The Clinical Manager will assist in developing and delivering onboarding and ongoing training to clinicians across both Easterseals Northern California and Hawaii and across Behavioral Health Service lines. In addition, the candidate will help build additional professional and career development opportunities for the Behavioral Health team. This role will also be responsible for creating and implementing individualized programs and treatment plans for their clients and establishing and maintaining effective and empowered care teams. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Create, implement, and supervise individualized, high-quality, clinically appropriate ABA programs for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. Provides initial onboarding training to Behavior Interventionists, Program Supervisors, and Clinical Managers across Easterseals Northern California and Easterseals Hawaii. Meet or exceed Behavioral Health Services Program operating targets individually and for supervised team. Assist the Behavioral Health Training Coordinator in developing and executing both professional and lateral development opportunities to clinicians to include skills enhancement and clinical consultation. Assist to establish career progression tracks for clinicians pursuing opportunities for career advancement, such as BCBA credential or LMFT or LCSW licenses. Carry out clinical responsibilities and adjust staffing of treatment teams as necessary to effectively provide interventions to meet the full extent of services authorized and support families. Support the development of the annual Behavioral Health Services ProgramV2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures). Adhere to the FoC network structure organizational protocols. Ensure clinical quality, compliance, regulatory, and funder requirements are met, and take action if they are not. Partner with colleagues and managers to ensure a positive customer experience for all clients through coordinated service delivery. Maintain necessary continuing education requirements. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to: Master's degree, PsyD, or PhD from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required: Applied behavior analysis, early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, pediatric therapy, psychology or related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) (strongly preferred), Licensed Clinical Psychologist, MFT, MSW, with current licensure in good standing with regulatory board and strong background in ABA. Licensed and/or Certified for a minimum of two years. Three years of experience implementing ABA services, preferably with people with ASD. Two or more years' experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledgeable of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children diagnosed with ASD, including ABA, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT). Experience in developing and leading clinical trainings to others. Commitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams. Enthusiasm for the values of the organization, including disruption and resilience. Proficiency working with individuals with disabilities and other special needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; American Sign Language or bilingual ability preferred. Confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintenance of all HIPAA requirements. Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software. Consistent good judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally and economically diverse population. Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills. Physical Requirements Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess and interact with clients. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day. Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 50lbs. Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously. Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff and other professionals in meetings and on the phone. Occasional driving (to and from office and client homes). Ability to utilize computer, cell phone (iPhone). Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy. Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision-making; constant concentration required when working with clients. Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer. Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior. Conditions of Employment Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position. Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation needed. Must have a valid California Driver’s License with insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies. Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certificate. Ability to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI). Must attend any required training.
