Job Title: Onsite Medical Representative (Medical Representative – Fargo) Job Description

The Onsite Medical Representative provides first aid and health support to associates in a fast-paced industrial environment, working closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team to promote safety, wellness, and regulatory compliance. This role independently assesses injuries and illnesses, offers guidance on occupational and non-occupational health concerns, and coordinates care with external medical providers as needed. The position plays a key role in workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs, supports safety operations, and actively engages with associates and leadership on the operations floor to reduce injury risk through coaching and education.

• Independently assess and administer first aid to associates for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers when additional care is required.
• Advocate for health and wellness principles and consistently support associates through daily one-on-one interactions.
• Participate in weekly case management review meetings and associate safety committee meetings as needed.
• Greet new hires at the site and introduce them to available health and safety resources.
• Minimize the risk of associate injury through proactive awareness, education, and engagement on the operations floor.
• Engage with associates and leadership to provide coaching regarding observed at-risk work habits and body mechanics.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to associates.
• Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries.
• Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support onsite safety operations and collaborate with the Workplace Health & Safety manager, specialist, and Injury Prevention Specialist.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is consistently stocked.
• Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.
• Maintain current first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials as required for the role.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response activities at the site.
• Learn and apply OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and analysis related to workplace health and safety.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach as part of daily duties.
• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Work in areas with variable noise levels and changing temperatures, including outside loading departments.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs at sites where stair access is required.
• Work flexible shifts, which may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends as operational needs require.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
• Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from a Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
• Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks if not already certified.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including potential days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Capability to work in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions.
• Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs at applicable sites.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical and activity records.
• Comfort working directly with associates and leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching and health guidance.

• Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
• Experience working within an industrial wellness program.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders and providing ergonomic coaching and guidance on body mechanics.
• Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes.
• Proficiency in digital record management and documentation systems.
• Recent military medical experience, such as Combat Medic (U.S. Army), Field Medic (U.S. Army), Healthcare Specialist (U.S. Army), Hospital Corpsman (U.S. Navy), or Aerospace Medical Service Technician (U.S. Air Force), within the last year or six months.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with associates across all levels of the organization.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and continuous learning in medical and safety-related topics.

This is a full-time onsite position in a busy industrial operations facility. The role primarily targets a 07:30–18:00 shift, four days per week, with training initially scheduled Monday through Friday from 08:00–16:30. The position is 40 hours per week, with overtime available based on operational needs. The work environment includes time spent on the operations floor, where noise levels can vary and temperatures may change, including exposure to outdoor loading areas and variable weather conditions. The role requires standing and walking for up to 12 hours, frequent lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and continuous stair climbing at sites with stairs. You will work closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team, emergency response resources, and operations leadership, using medical equipment for first aid, CPR, AED, and drug testing protocols, as well as digital systems for documentation and reporting. Dress is appropriate for an industrial and clinical support setting, allowing safe movement and compliance with site safety requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
