Job Description Sign on Bonus: Up to $10,000 SOB Based on Eligibility \n \n Position Summary \n \n \nTakes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical \n \n \n \n Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately. \n Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. \n Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity." \n Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted. \n Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines." \n Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. \n Checks for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order." \n Verifies correct patient by two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam." \n Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices. \n Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen." \n Maintain skills required to change oxygen tanks." \n Must be able to use masks and nasal canula." \n Adjusts rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders." \n Secures and safely transports e-cylinders. \n Accesses electronic patient health record via current system." \n Inputs and processes requisitions." \n Inputs all relevant information and provides film/imaging history to physician, as appropriate. \n Expectations for operating room:" Manipulates/operates all C-arms, troubleshoots errors with equipment, performs sterile technique while operating C-arm, assists circulating RN as needed, prints films from C-arm when needed, archives images to PACS from C-arm, sets-up C-arm with all patient information, positions C-arm to the surgeons specifications, locates/documents patient dose." \n \n \n \n \n Minimum Requirements: \n \n Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program. \n Experience: The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training. \n Licensure/Certifications: \n \n ARRT- R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT). \n Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association. \n \n \n \n \n #LI-SB3 \n \n \n \nCarondelet St. Marys Hospital Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
