Financial Sales - Investment Counselor

Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and over the phone client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners - focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key
Minimum 1 year of Experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources. Experience with sales is more important than financial services experience. KeyBank provides the tools and training, but we need relationship builders with a curious nature who are great at sparking conversations. (Understanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports. (Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking. (Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence, as this role will require significant influence of partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals. (Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.). (Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key (required)
Equal Pay Posting Language
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18 to $24.52 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes short-term incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
