Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and $3,000 Relocation Assistance available for eligible candidates (see terms below)

*Terms: 12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Sign-on Eligibility:

• One (1) year of applicable experience

• Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible

Relocation Eligibility:

• Must live 50 miles outside of campus address

• Rehires that are less than 12 months from separation date are not eligible

About the Unit:

• The 50-bed AdventHealth Celebration Health Emergency Department is the busiest in Osceola County, proudly serving a diverse patient population. Located near world-renowned tourist attractions, our team frequently cares for international guests, requiring exceptional communication and care.

• Success in our department is driven by a team-oriented culture, where collaboration, adaptability, and a shared passion for patient care ensure excellence in a fast-paced emergency environment.

• Our department offers three levels of emergency careacute, intermediate, and fast-trackwith distinct treatment areas designed for both minor and major emergencies, ensuring optimal coverage and efficient patient flow.

• As part of the AdventHealth network, our nurses and team members have the opportunity to float among multiple Celebration Emergency Department locations, including our Main Campus Pediatrics and three freestanding EDs. This provides a valuable chance to learn, grow, and build connections across our integrated healthcare system.

Schedule: Full-time, Three 12-hours shifts

Shift: Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.

• Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.

• Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion.

• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.

• Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands-on training, feedback, and fostering professional development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to lead the employees of their unit in the delivery of patient care

• Ability to lead performance improvement initiatives on their assigned unit

• Ability to think critically in relation to the operations of the unit and delivery of patient care

• Ability to manage the business of healthcare delivery on their unit, including assessing and managing financial practices/Productivity management

• Able to assist and mentor others in relation to the technology utilized on the unit

• Excellent clinical practice knowledge and is able to apply this knowledge to the unit setting

• Ability to influence relationships and behaviors in relation to meeting the needs of the unit

• Acts as a role model for professionalism on their assigned unit of employment

• Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently

• Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record)

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ charge nurse or relevant leadership experience. [Preferred]

• 1+ nursing experience within the acute care setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) [Required]
